Sometimes Life Changes. Sometimes You’re Ready to Change With It.
Individual and Couples Counseling for Anxiety, Relationships, and Life Transitions
In-Person in Brandon and Online Across Florida
What I Offer
Individual
Therapy
Sometimes you’re functioning just fine on the outside while anxiety, relationship stress, grief, divorce, or a major life change is taking up a lot more space on the inside. Therapy can be a place to sort through what’s happening, understand yourself better, and figure out what comes next.

Couples
Therapy
Relationships can get complicated. Communication breaks down, resentment builds, trust gets damaged, or sometimes you just stop feeling like you’re on the same team. Couples therapy can help you slow things down, understand what’s really happening between you, and start having different conversations.

Teens & Young Adults Therapy
Growing up and figuring out who you are can be hard. I work with teens and young adults dealing with anxiety, relationships, school or work stress, family changes, identity, and the transition into adulthood. Therapy gives them a place that is theirs to talk honestly and figure things out.

Maybe Life Looks Fine from the Outside. But It Doesn’t Feel Fine.
You may be managing work, relationships, family, and everything else that needs your attention and still feel like something isn’t quite right.
Maybe anxiety has gotten louder. Your relationship feels disconnected. You’re going through a divorce or another major transition. You’re grieving something you’ve lost. You’re questioning what comes next. Or you’re simply exhausted from trying to keep everything together.
Sometimes there isn’t a single dramatic event that brings someone to therapy. Sometimes, you just realize that the way you’ve been getting through things isn’t working anymore.
You don’t have to wait for a crisis to ask for support.

Your Season of Life Feels Heavier Than You Expected
Maybe you’re navigating something no one prepared you for.
Trying to conceive while everyone around you seems to get pregnant effortlessly.
Bringing home a baby and feeling anxious, tearful, or numb when you expected joy.
Grieving a person, or a beloved pet, while the world tells you it’s time to move on.
Or perhaps it’s a life transition that’s shaken your footing: a move, a new career, an empty nest, a marriage that feels distant, a new country and culture where parts of you feel lost in translation.
If you’re navigating life between two cultures or two languages, you know how isolating it can be when it feels like no one fully understands both sides of your story.
These seasons are real, and they’re heavy. You shouldn’t have to carry them in silence, or pretend they don’t hurt.

The Inner Critic Never Takes a Day Off
Anxiety hums in the background of everything you do. You second-guess yourself, replay your mistakes, and hold yourself to a standard you’d never impose on someone you love.
Maybe you’ve found ways to quiet the noise: a drink to unwind, habits you keep telling yourself you’ll cut back on, staying busy so you never have to sit with your own thoughts. Deep down, you know these things are numbing the pain, not healing it.
You’d never speak to a friend the way you speak to yourself. So why has that voice become the loudest one in your head?

What Happens If Nothing Changes?
Here’s the hard truth: this doesn’t usually get better on its own.
The exhaustion deepens. The anxiety spreads into your relationships, your sleep, your health.
The distance between you and the people you love grows quietly, one unspoken feeling at a time.
Resentment builds where connection used to live.
You’ve already proven you can survive this way. But surviving isn’t the same as living, and you deserve more than getting through the day.
Therapy Is Where the Healing Begins
Imagine having one hour that belongs entirely to you. A space where you don’t have to be the strong one, the fixer, or the one holding it all together.
A place where your raw, messy, honest feelings are welcome – and met with warmth instead of judgment.
In therapy, we’ll work together to quiet the inner critic and build real self-compassion – not as a buzzword, but as a daily practice that changes how you move through the world.
You’ll learn practical coping skills, healthier communication, and how to set boundaries that protect your peace instead of guilt-tripping you.
Most importantly, you’ll start to see your own patterns clearly, and once you can see them, you can change them.
That’s where clear connections lead to an empowered mind.
You’ve spent years taking care of everyone else. Let this be the moment you choose yourself.
Hi, I’m Nelly.
For over 13 years, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside people in Tampa Bay through some of the most challenging chapters of their lives, and watching them come out the other side stronger, softer with themselves, and more connected to the people they love.
I created Clear Connections Counseling because I believe healing starts with connection: to yourself, to your story, and to someone who truly listens.
My clients often tell me I’m easy to talk to, and that matters to me.
But I’ll also gently call you out (with love!) when that inner critic starts talking, because you deserve better than the way you’ve been treating yourself.
My approach is warm, personalized, and never one-size-fits-all. I think outside the box, start from exactly where you are, and partner with you every step of the way.
As a culturally sensitive therapist, I honor the unique strengths, cultures, and connections that shape your life – I offer therapy in both English and Russian.
Whether we meet in my quiet, comfortable Tampa Bay office or online from wherever you feel most at ease, my goal is the same: to give your heart room to rest.

You Don’t Have to Know Exactly Where to Start.
Maybe you know exactly what you want help with. Maybe you just know something needs to change.
Either is enough.
We can start with a conversation about what’s happening, what you’re looking for, and whether working together feels like a good fit.
